Mark Hughes Foundation

Brain cancer kills more children than any other disease and kills more people under 40 in Australia than any other cancer – yet it receives less than 5% of government cancer research funding.

Through endless fundraising, the Mark Hughes Foundation is changing these appalling statistics.

The PKF team are big supporters of the Mark Hughes Foundation and had the pleasure of being Mark Hughes Foundation volunteers, helping move and pack hundreds of beanies in preparation for #BeanieForBrainCancer week to help raise money for a wonderful cause.

From PKF Director Andrew Beattie ditching his suits for boots when he took on Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation to partners of the firm kindly purchasing a beanie for every team member, we are proud to know and support Mark Hughes and the great work the Foundation does.

“Reaching the top of Mount Kilimajaro was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Conditions were horrible but with a great team and willpower we did it together for a wonderful cause.
Supporting the Mark Hughes Foundation gives you a sense of pride as they demonstrate what community really means. They Foundation is doing such wonderful things and the culture and engagement they have created is nothing short of amazing. “Andrew Beattie, Director, PKF Sydney & Newcastle
