PKF Sydney and Newcastle, in collaboration with The Newcastle Herald and NEX, are delighted at the success of the 18th annual Hunter Breast Care Breakfast held on 17 October. This year the event hit a significant milestone, raising $60,726 to support the invaluable work of the Hunter Nurse Education Group.
Hosted by NBN’s Lauren Kempe, the breakfast brought together an impressive community of over 450 attendees. Our panel of three inspiring women shared their powerful stories and reminded us all of the incredible, personal support that the nurses provide to those going through Breast Cancer.
Over $25,000 worth of raffle prizes were won, all generously donated by businesses all across Australia. The atmosphere at the breakfast was incredible, highlighting the community’s generosity and strong commitment to supporting this important cause and making the morning a resounding success.
“After 18 years of the Breast Care Breakfast, we are truly humbled by the ongoing support from our community,” said Bob Bell, Managing Director at PKF Sydney and Newcastle. “This year’s breakfast has been the biggest yet, serving as a powerful celebration of our shared commitment to Breast Cancer care and a testament to the generosity and compassion that defines the Hunter region.”
The funds raised at our annual Breast Care Breakfast are dedicated exclusively to supporting the Hunter Nurse Education Group (HNEG) within the Hunter region. These resources enable the HNEG to conduct many education days and events each year for nurses who work with individuals facing Breast Cancer. These essential training sessions are provided free of charge and have been proven to enhance knowledge and skills, positively influence behaviours and attitudes, and improve clinical outcomes for patients.
This outstanding milestone would not have been possible without the generous support of the sponsors and raffle donors. PKF Sydney and Newcastle extends their heartfelt thanks to Gold sponsors Beam Bookkeeping and Colterlec. Silver sponsors VInet, Sharp Office, HunterNet, Solv’d, peoplefusion and Osborn Law; Bronze sponsors Quarry Mining and McIntosh Air; along with:
