PKF announces three new senior promotions in addition to 43 across the firm

Newcastle accounting and business advisory firm, PKF, have elevated Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist, Daniel Clements to Partner and Newcastle Business Advisory Services’ Hanna Barry and Jackie Marriott to Principal.

Clements has been with the firm for 8 years working under SMSF expert, David Henriksen, who has been preparing Clements for leadership. Clements has played a key role in leading the team’s 4 SMSF accountants to provide superannuation advice and portfolio management to a wide range of clients.

The transition sees Henriksen take up a full-time role in the PKF Wealth Advisory team.

Clements said of his promotion, “I am honored and proud that an expert such as David saw the skills in me to lead the practice and ensure that our clients receive comprehensive, accurate and timely SMSF advice.”

The SMSF sector is becoming increasingly complex with rules and regulations and the PKF team continually strive to provide the best service for their clients.

It’s a poignant day for me as I officially hand the reigns to Daniel. I have watched Daniel grow over the last 8 years, from a trainee accountant to a true leader and as I continue to mentor him, I look forward to seeing what comes next. I leave the SMSF practice, knowing that our clients are in very safe hands and look forward to servicing some of those clients through our Wealth Advisory practice. Henriksen said

Barry and Marriott are stalwarts of the firm and well loved by clients. Their promotions reflect their hard work, technical skill and the emotional intelligence that they apply to their work which has been especially sought after due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the effect it has had on businesses.

Barry is part of the firm’s Thrive & Lead alumni and Marriott and Clements are current participants in the program. The program inspires and motivates the firm’s young leaders to develop their individual leadership style and be able to deliver high impact leadership in the fast-growing, forward-thinking firm.

The promotions are part of many at the firm, which has seen PKF elevate 43 team members into more senior positions.
