PKF Sydney & Newcastle are seeking a Senior Accountant wanting to further their career into management. The role will be located within business advisory services. You will be working alongside a group of talented professionals. This is a permanent role within a flexible working fun environment, based in Newcastle.

Primarily responsible for assisting clients by overseeing a team to prepare financial and management accounting reports and their tax compliance obligations. This position requires the ability to identify issues and provide solutions in a proactive manner.

Key responsibilities

Processing and reviewing financial statements, preparation of management reports, preparation of review of entities’ income tax and BAS/IAS returns, preparation of interim financial accounts and providing tax planning proposals, preparation and analysis of management reports, prepare, analyse and review accounts, financial data presentation, assist in monthly billing process.

This position requires a highly organised, executional team player with excellent initiative. Ability to build trust and relationships with clients is key. Good communication and mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and training to junior staff members. You will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.

What you need to apply

CA or CPA qualifications (or working towards), 5 years' experience ideally within mid-tier exposure, proficient in Xero and MYOB, excellent written and verbal communicatio
