PKF Sydney & Newcastle is seeking an experienced assistant manager to join our rapidly growing team. This is a permanent role within a flexible working fun environment, based in Newcastle.

We are a mid-tier practice, and a national award-winning accounting, tax and business advisory firm. This position is focused on providing specialised services to businesses throughout Australia.

Primarily responsible for assisting clients to prepare financial and management accounting reports and their tax compliance obligations. This position requires the ability to identify issues and provide solutions in a proactive manner.

Key responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for our clients, preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports, cashflow planning and budgeting, tax planning and ongoing advice

This position requires a highly organised, executional team player with excellent initiative. Ability to build trust and relationships with clients is key. You will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment. You will have experience in managing a portfolio of clients and a team of people.

What you need to apply

CA or CPA qualifications with 5+ years' experience in a business advisory services role and having previous experience in managing a portfolio of clients.
