Richard is a Director in PKF's Business Recovery and Insolvency team, specializing in impaired land and property development. With extensive experience, he has successfully handled contamination, remediation programs, environmental solutions, and land subdivisions.
A notable accomplishment includes overseeing the redevelopment of the highly contaminated 200-hectare site that became the suburb "Bunderra" in NSW. Richard managed the entire project, including demolishing a lead smelter, implementing a remediation strategy, obtaining planning approvals, and completing a subdivision into residential, industrial, and bulky goods precincts. He also managed infrastructure works like building roads and roundabouts.
Richard also successfully managed the remediation and staged development of a disused Incitec Fertilizer site, obtaining rezoning approval.
He maintains strong relationships with key development stakeholders, such as the EPA, government authorities, local councils, environmental and subdivision contractors and infrastructure consultants.
