Professional experience
Matthew has more than 15 years’ of diverse financial services experience, spanning corporate finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, strategy, business management, improvement, due diligence, valuations, equity capital markets, debt advisory and funds management.
Having spent a considerable period of time working in Perth and overseas in London and Singapore in senior roles with a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm, Matthew has advised clients within diverse industries with businesses located throughout Australia, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa. He has worked with a variety of clients, including large corporates, as well as SMEs and start-ups.
Throughout his career, Matthew has executed various corporate finance engagements totalling over A$2 billion in transaction value. He has advised on a range of transactions including public and private M&A and capital raisings (equity and debt). His qualifications and background in finance, economics and geology, enables him to evaluate natural resource projects from both a financial and technical perspective providing a comprehensive advisory offering for clients.
Prior to PKF Perth, Matthew co-founded a European regulated global natural resources fund and was a Director of Corporate Finance at a boutique financial services, wealth management and stockbroking firm in Perth.
