Professional experience
James is a Director in the Business Recovery and Insolvency team, based in the PKF Melbourne office.
He has more than 10 years of recovery & reorganisation experience spanning multiple industries. James’ approach is about developing a comprehensive understanding of his client’s business and the environment they operate in.
James has extensive technical knowledge of insolvency law, and experience in reviewing the technical and operational abilities of entities, restructuring, asset realisation and conducting investigations.
His vast technical proficiency has extended his experience to managing voluntary administrations, liquidations, receiverships and informal workouts.
Recent examples of work include:
- Trading companies in industries including, but not limited to, manufacturing, recreation, aviation, healthcare, retail / wholesale, transport / warehousing and construction
- Restructuring organisations and undertaking asset realisation programs, including negotiating going concern sales
- Monitoring facilities on behalf of financiers, including discharging and reducing exposure.
- Detailed investigations, public examinations and recovery actions under a range of insolvency administrations.

- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), University of Melbourne
- Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ)
